RWF Founder Rhonda Walker Wins the Angelo B. Henderson Community Service Award
Every child deserves the life long memories of summer camp and for 15 years the RWF has hosted Camp I Can. In preparation for the start of school, 50 inner city teens getaway to embrace the country at our annual self-esteem, confidence, team building, problem solving and leadership retreat at Wildwood Ranch in Howell, MI. It’s transformational for our teens.
“My experience has helped me bond with my friends and has opened my eyes to understanding it’s okay to be afraid as long as you are willing to face your fears.” says a first time camper about her experience this year.
Conquering fears on the zip line, setting goals wall climbing, fearlessly leaping from platforms into the lake, bonfires, and bonding with their sisters all fully sponsored by Ford Motor Company Fund under the leadership of Pamela Alexander. The retreat ended with a powerful Ford Driving Skills interactive workshop on distracted and impaired driving, car maintenance and safety training. Thank you so much for being our first camp sponsor of this life changing experience. The girls loved it!!!
