As a charitable organization ourselves, we know the importance of giving back, and we regularly emphasize this to our teens. Each year we participate in numerous community projects to help others in need. Since 2003, RWF teens have been volunteering with the Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries, which has itself served Detroit’s homeless community for over 100 years. In addition, RWF teens participate in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Detroit to raise awareness about the importance of breast cancer research and women’s health issues. Held annually for the last 20 years, the Race for the Cure Detroit is part of the world’s largest 5K run/walk series and raises millions of dollars every year to support research to aid breast cancer survivors and find a cure to a disease that affects us all.
The RWF proudly supports these and other community outreach activities.
