For the price of that daily cup of coffee or a couple of movie tickets, you can make a difference that will last a lifetime. Your pledge of $1,000.00 will cover the cost for a deserving teen to participate in our Girls Into Women enrichment program.
Since 2003, the RWF has helped dozens of at-risk inner city teen girls see their own value and immeasurable potential through our Girls Into Women program. With comprehensive monthly programming that includes retreats, professional speaker workshops, mentoring, field trips, job shadowing, college tours and scholarships, every teen who has completed all five years of Girls Into Women has graduated from high school and gone on to college. But our work is not done. We’re trying to have an even bigger impact on even more Detroit teens and want you to be a part of it.
As a RWF Teen Sponsor, you’ll become personally involved in helping make our community a better place. We’ll pair you with a teen who will provide you with regular updates on her progress through her formative high school years as we help her prepare for college, a career, and womanhood. In addition to that special connection, you’ll receive recognition at two of our annual events, the Scholar Power Scholarship Breakfast held in May and our largest fundraiser, the Moving With Success Empowerment Brunch in October. You will also be listed as a donor on our website. But even more important than that, you’ll have a lasting effect on the life of a young woman, who will go on to accomplish greatness thanks to your support.
